Children's Ministry

We seek to accomplish our purpose statement by keeping our CornerstoneKids Ministry relevant, relational, and revolutionary.

Relevant: Nothing will ever take the place of Gods timeless Biblical truths. We believe that our teaching, programming, and special events must be filled with these truths but also that they are relevant to our children’s lives, our church, and our community. We believe that our children deserve the best and most memorable presentation of these truths possible. It is therefore imperative that we present these truths in such a way that it is encompassing, enveloping, and exciting. It is our desire to plant God's word in their hearts and minds. We strive to meet our children where they are at age appropriate and interest appropriate levels.

God's Word remains uncompromised, unchallenged, and unchanged and must be presented in a way that will reach our children. We must nurture, lead, and guide our children into being the church of today, in order for them to be the leadership of the church of tomorrow. We believe that a child's time at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship should be a dynamic, exciting, and fun-filled experience. We want our children to leave church wanting to come back! From an initial newcomer’s standpoint to the seasoned members, we desire to make a child’s impression and time spent at church “The highlight of their week”. Perhaps then, they will allow us the opportunity to teach scripture, apply Biblical truths, reinforce Christian values, and lead them towards a personal relationship with Jesus.

Relational: Relationships are a key component in Cornerstone Kids Ministries! We want to build an atmosphere where children are comfortable, where they can make close lasting friendships. We desire to help families build a network with other families. We want all Cornerstone Kids to know that they are loved and treasured by their teachers and leaders. Our focus is not on programs, but on building relationships that can last a lifetime. Whether meeting with them weekly or at special events, we want to disciple our little ones in a way that they themselves grow to disciple others. The lasting relationship with Jesus Christ being the most important relationship to have!

Revolutionary: It is our desire that along with being relevant and relational, that our children’s programs are revolutionary. Although we will have similar programs that other churches utilize, we will make every attempt to be on the cutting edge of where today’s kids are. It is essential that we stay current with what our kids are involved with while we introduce both timeless and tested truths into their lives. We cannot afford to sit back and be complacent, relying on what has worked in the past to reach the next generation. Every attempt will be made to preserve tradition, but where the Spirit of God leads…we are going!
