We have begun to redefine our relationship with our missionaries so that they will be considered as members of our churchs pastoral/ministerial staff, except that they will be seconded to their various missionary organizations, other than during furloughs. One outcome of this strategy shift is that we will focus more resources on fewer missionaries in the short-term. This will allow for greater accountability, greater exposure, and greater church involvement with those of our church who have answered the call to mission work. To facilitate this shift, funding has begun to taper off for other mission works that we have supported in the past. We are working with these missionaries to make this transition as smooth as possible.
